Linden rural constable charged with sexual assault
A 59-year-old retired detective sergeant of Blueberry Hill, Linden was on Wednesday charged with sexual assault on a child by abusing a position of trust.
The incident allegedly occurred on August 21, 2017.
The accused, Ewin Trotman, who is currently a Rural Constable, attached to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Wismar Police Station, appeared before Senior Magistrate, Clive Nurse at the Linden Magistrates’ Court to answer the charge.
He was not required to plea and was granted bail in the sum of $100,000.
The case was postponed to mid October for report and fixture.
