Flights delayed following plane collision at CJIA
Authorities at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the ground collision between two aircraft on Tuesday, November 29 on its runway.
According to reports, the Caribbean airlines plane which had just arrived at CJIA from the John F. Kenndy Airport (JFK), was taxiing to park when its wing clipped the tail of a parked Fly Jamaica aircraft.
As a result, flights have reportedly been delayed.
Both planes are presently grounded and investigations are ongoing.
