UPDATE: US based mastermind in Berbice man’s murder wanted by local police, female relatives charged

Two female relatives of the alleged killers of 27-year-old Faiyaz Narinedatt of No. 70 Village Corentyne Berbice were today (November 22) charged with willfully attempting to obstruct the course of justice.

The court heard that the women contacted city investigator Komal Pitam offering a bribe of $4M to forego charges against the four murder accused and the alleged mastermind, who is overseas businessman, Marcus Brian Bisram.

Those charged are 25-year-old, Maryann Lionel a Bank teller and the mastermind’s mother, 45-year-old Shanella Inderajali who is said to be a housewife.

They appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan and were represented by Attorney-at-Law Stanley Moore.Shanella Inderjali, mother of alleged mastermind

Police are now moving to have the wealthy businessman back in Guyana to face the music. In that regard Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum today told Capitol News that, “there are certain measures that have to be followed, one of which was indicating to their overseas counterpart that he the (mastermind) is needed for questioning.”

Investigations into this matter are completed and six prosecution witnesses are expected to testify, who are all police officers.

The four accused of the murder of the father of two were today charged in the Georgetown Magistrates’ court for beating Narinedatt unconscious and running over him with a car on the public road.

Those charged are Radesh Motor, Diodat Datt, Harripaul Parsram,all of No. 71 Village and Nirone Yacood.

The Upper Corentyne Berbice men admitted to their involvement in the murder and implicated an overseas based Guyanese businessman as the mastermind.
Narinedatt met his demise after rejecting the alleged mastermind’s sexual advances. The wealthy businessman attempted to fondle Narinedatt who was intoxicated but was met with a slap from the now dead man.
