Patentia WBD man killed in road accident
26-year-old Harry Bridgemohan of Patentia Housing Scheme, West Bank Demerara is the country’s latest road fatality, according to police.
The young man was riding his motorcycle along the Houston public road on Friday November 18, when he lost control and collided with a motor car.
As a result of the impact, Bridgemohan fell on the roadway. He was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries whilst receiving medical attention.
The Police media release explained that, “due to the heavy congestion of vehicles in the morning peak hours, vehicles are allowed to proceed north on the western side of the eastern carriageway of the road. The deceased who was riding his motorcycle number CG 5075 south between the two lanes of vehicles proceeding north and south respectively, lost control and collided with the right front of motor car PPP 7887 which was proceeding north.”
The driver of the car is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
