49-Y-O woman remanded for Rohee’s robbery
Forty-nine-year-old Corlette Parks of Postal Housing Scheme, Georgetown was today (November 17) charged with two counts of robbery under arms committed at the home of former Home Affairs Minister and Member of Parliament, Clement Rohee, at Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
Parks appeared before Magistrate Lambert at the Providence Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to both charges. She was remanded to prison until January 11, 2017.
The woman’s National Identification (ID) card was found in the rental vehicle which was reportedly used to commit the November 09 crime.
Three armed men carted off an undisclosed sum of cash and jewelry from Rohee’s home, however, only his workers were there at the time. The bandits gained entry through an opened back door.
