Teen shot to jaw during robbery
Sixteen year-old, Ramdat Singh junior, was this morning (April, 02) shot to his jaw at the Rosignol Market, after two men armed with guns robbed his father’s jewelry stall of an undisclosed quantity of gold.
At around 6:30AM, the boy’s father, Ramdat Singh senior, 42, was making preparations to open his business when they men pounced on them, demanding gold. In the process of handing over the jewelry, a round was discharged by one of the bandits, hitting young Singh.
The men then escaped and Singh was rushed to the hospital and is said to be in a stable condition. The bullet has been removed from his jaw.
‘B’ Division Commander, Ian Amsterdam told Capitol News that a suspect is in custody assisting police with investigations.
