Waiting for Justice in Agricola Police Killing

Screen Shot 2014-09-19 at 6.55.30 PMA Candle Light vigil was held last evening in Agricola as residents joined with Shaquille Grant’s relatives in remembrance of his life.

Police on patrol in Caesar Street Agricola snuffed out the young man’s life in this area two years ago.

His distraught mother Shonnette Adams told this newscast that she is still seeking justice two years later. She said she is bitter with the lawmen who she feels are not making serious efforts to bring the other two policemen involved in the shooting to justice. The men Corporal Warren Blue and Constable Jamal Lewis disappeared without a trace days before criminal charges were instituted against them.

A third police constable Terrence Wallace was committed to stand trial in the High Court for the murder of Grant.

The woman said she is still feeling that emptiness inside as if her son was just killed.

Grant was shot in the face while his friend Romel Bollers was also injured.
