CARICOM employee robbed at gunpoint in the City

The incident occurred between 2:30 and 3:00 this morning in Crown Street just in the vicinity of the Impression Building. There are reports that the Bajan National joined a taxi at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport en-route to her destination in the city. Police sources told this newscast that when the woman reached her destination, disembarked and they were in the process of removing her suitcases she and the taxi driver were held up at gunpoint.

This newscast understands that all the woman’s important documents were taken during the robbery.

The men then took away the keys from the driver and drove away with his vehicle.

The police are hunt for the robbers are continuing. This newscast understands that the Car was recovered in Meadbrook this afternoon.
