Two charged in murder of Lusignan girl
Today a teacher and taxi driver were arraigned before Magistrate Zamilla Alli in the Vigilance Magistrates court charged with the murder of Asmini Harriram, The Lusignan girl that was killed after a gunman took away her cellular phone back in July of this year.
The two men 29 yr old Lennox Wayne known as two colour of 1308 Diamond Housing Scheme and Melroy Dorris of Benn Street Wortmanville a taxi driver were not required to plead to the indictable charge.
Alli had just disembarked a mini-bus when a gunman walked in her direction took away her phone and shot her in the face. A relative who witnessed the entire ordeal told members of the media that the suspect was in a parked car at the Lusignan east coast Demerara embankment, apparentely waiting to make his move.
Outside of the court relatives gathered to get a closer look at the two suspects.

What is of concern to the family is the implication of a relative being implicated in the murder.
The men were remanded to prison until October 1st when the matter will come up for a report in the Cove-in- John magistrate court.
