New surveillance system project being implemented

Screen Shot 2014-08-22 at 6.27.28 PMThe Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has launched its Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) system. It has been described as next generation surveillance technology incorporating both air and ground aspects that provide a more accurate picture of the aircraft’s three-dimensional position.

Zulfikar Mohamed, chairman of the Aviation Authority, said that the project was in the making since 2008 as the sector was working towards further enhancing its capabilities.

Minister with responsibility for Transportation, commended the project, saying it represents a more advanced means of air surveillance and air safety.

In surveillance broadcast, aircraft avionics determines the aircraft’s position via satellite navigation and periodically broadcasts it, enabling it to be tracked.

My programmer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on several websites for about a year and am nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it? Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
