Landlady arrested as NY Forensic Tests confirm dismembered body is that of Guyanese Woman Chinelle Browne
The Landlady Leah Cuevas is scheduled to make an initial appearance in court in Long Island Thursday July 24, 2014 charged with the murder and dismemberment of her tenant Brooklyn based Guyanese 27 year old Chinelle Latoya Browne. The police are investigating whether another person may have been involved in the killing.
Browne’s dismembered body was found at various locations in Long Island after she was reported missing following an incident with her landlady at her Sumpter Ave apartment around the July 4th weekend.
Forensic tests have confirmed that all the parts belonged to Browne. The last body part found was her head that was also dumped in a clump of bushes.
The Guyanese mother of four was last seen on July 5th the same day she last made contact with her husband Dale Browne who was in Guyana with the rest of her family at that time. Just days after the missing persons report was filed, first a torso was found then two arms and later the head were discovered.
