Search continues for missing Georgetown teacher

safe_imageAs the search for missing teacher Nyozi Goodman enters its 16th day her colleagues at the St Stanislaus secondary school remain optimistic that she is alive and is held captive.

Najuma Greenidge and Kamattie Gomati said Goodman was very frank, brilliant, friendly and hardworking. They said she had lots of male friends and loved her phone and Ipad.

The two teachers were part of a search group in the dense bushes in the Botanical Gardens this weekend. They found an umbrella and a bag similar to what Goodman would normally use.

The teachers said her absence from the classroom is heartfelt as they ponder her disappearance.

Carol Green the mother of Goodman told reports that she believes that the police are not working fast enough. The woman said she is keeping the faith and will continue to pray for the safe return of her oldest child.

Goodman, 34, was last seen attending a basketball game on Sunday 6th of July at the National Gymnasium.

The students said she told them she was waiting on a vehicle to pick her up and urged them to go ahead.
