State sued again
Through his attorney Dexter Todd the shot 15-year-old youth Alex Griffith is suing the state for a whopping 30million dollars for breaching fundamental right against torture and degrading treatment.
In addition Todd is also seeking a further 5million dollars damages from Cadet officer Franz Paul and the commissioner of police Seelall Persaud for false imprisonment, assault and battery.
While two policemen are before the courts in the matter. Todd recalled the inhumane treatment his client suffered despite the plea of his innocence of the crime.
The shooting stemmed from the robbery of a relative of the policeman in East La penitence. According to Griffith a party of policemen took him from his East La Penitence home.
Just recently the Colwyn Harding support group filed an 80 million dollar lawsuit against the state after Harding accused the police of using a condom-covered baton to sexually assault him.
