The West Indies turn their attention now to the shorter versions of the game after their 2-1 test series loss to NZ. The 2 twenty twenty matches take place on sat and Sunday in Dominica both starting at 2 in the afternoon. The West Indies have rested Chris Gayle for the 2 matches and brought in Guyanese Chris Barnwell and Trinidadian Kieron Pollard and Darren Bravo. The Windies crashed to 254 all out in their second innings yesterday to hand NZ victory by 53 runs. Needing 308 for victory on the last day WI lost wickets just as they started to build partnerships to. NZ had declared their second innings at 317/7 after several rain interruptions. Debutant Jason Holder made 52 with 3 NZ bowlers getting 3 wkts apiece.

 And as corruption in cricket comes under scrutiny the England Counties Board the ECB has banned Former NZ cricketer Lou Vincent for life after he admitted to taking bribes to underperform in several county matches as well as the champion’s league tournament of 2012.  Vincent’s ban came just weeks after the ECB banned Naved Arif of Pakistan for match fixing. The two have also been subjects of investigation by the International cricket Council.

The ICC has recently announced a crackdown on corruption in cricket worldwide.
