Medical left out from file sent to PCA on tortured teen

He said he is still in lots of pain. The young man said he wants the police to do a proper investigation and bring whoever is responsible to justice.

Thornton said police ranks soaked his hands with methylated spirits and set them alight.

A police constable is under close arrest while a senior officer was transferred to the Canine division of the Guyana Police Force for allegedly covering up the torture allegations of 19-year-old East Coast youth Junior Thornton.

Speaking with reporters Terrence Thornton blasted the office of professional responsibility.

Commissioner Seelall Persaud told this newscast recently that the investigation should be wrapped up by Friday and the file should be with the chairman of the police complaints authority.

Thornton said he spent 72 hours in the lock ups after he was picked up for loitering. He said the incident stemmed from a fight in the prison cell between himself and another man.
