Trinidad’s Rugby squad arrived in Guyana this morning for their date with the National rugby side in the NACRA fifteens qualifying match. Trinidad’s coach Adam Fredericks said he expects a tough game from Guyana but still hopes to come out on top

Fredericks said his team is a good mixture of youth and experience.

The game set for tomorrow at 4 in the afternoon takes place at the National Park rugby field .

Following FIFA’s affirmation of Christopher Mathias as the legitimate President of the GFF Mathias publicly offered an olive branch to the disaffected group that tried unsuccessfully twice to pass a no confidence motion against him. Mathias said it was not about him vs them

Mathias said that the group spent a whole year working to unseat him.

Mathias said that the group has other motives for trying to get him out of office.

FIFA dealt the disgruntled group a serious blow when it told them that their actions were against the Statutes of the GFF and all their decisions have been deemed invalid as Mathias remains the leader of the GFF.

Kevin Jeffrey is a veteran in the Group 4 cars and he has many reasons to compete this year. He said this year 6 cars will be competing.

Two young Super bikers. 16 yr old Stephan Vieira and Nicholas Boodram. are also confident of doing well

And before we go let’s remember to root for Queen Street Tiger Bay who will be representing Guyana at the Guinness greatest f the Streets Regional finals this weekend in Trinidad
