Alleged baby kidnapper pleads not guilty
A relieved Sandra Mc Lean speaking to this newscast on the phone from her Corentyne Berbice home said when she spotted the child at the station and she saw the birthmark just below his knee her mind and heart were at peace.
The woman and her baby were re-united on Sunday and she said the baby is in good health.
Mc lean said when she first got the news that her baby was found she was a bit reluctant to go after getting several bits of misleading information about her baby.
The woman was grateful for the support of businessman Imran and Sons and members of the Guyana Police Force who found the abducted baby at the suspect’s mother-in-law’s who lives at Chesney Village on the Corentyne Berbice.
The police have the alleged kidnapper Bibbi Khan and a male in custody. On Saturday the 24th of May the woman took baby who was then nine days old and was not seen or heard from until Sunday.
The incident occurred in the Port Mourant Market. Mc Lean said the woman was very nice to her and her son, but it turned out the woman had other motives.
Berbice Police are conducting a thorough investigation before placing the suspects before the courts.
