GT&T & Ministry of Culture collaborate on Art Publication
A series of Publications containing Visual Art pieces from the Guyana Art Exhibition will now be a reality following a Memorandum Of Understanding signed between GT&T and the Ministry of Culture. This MOU will see a 9 million Dollar 3 year commitment by the telephone company to provide funding to promote Art work of Guyanese to the general public with its first publication of 52 art pieces.
Speaking at the Signing at Cara Lodge, CEO of GT&T R.K.Sharma said that they decided to embark on such a project since GT&T recognised the need to publicize the Art collection on a Yearly Basis.
Minister of Cutlture, Dr. Frank Anthony believes that the publication will create more awareness.
This first publication entitled, The Panorama: A Portrait of Guyana will be completed by year end.
