Stop political interference in the manufacturing sector
President Donald Ramotar differed saying that cheap energy will boost the manufacturing sector. He sees the need for the Hydropower project and said that his government will once more approach the IDB.
The parliamentary opposition parties voted down the project saying that it wasn’t feasible for Guyana.
Now Clinton Williams, the president of the Guyana Manufacturing and services association has said that one of the most critical challenges facing manufacturers is the unreliable power supply and the exorbitant cost of it. But the fact that the Government and the opposition cannot agree on Amaila amounts to just what Dr Persaud is complaining of.
