Former Top Cop concerned about indiscriminate use of force by some policemen
Two weeks have passed since that incident and the police are still to complete their investigations and hand over the file to the chairman of the police complaints authority justice Cecil Kennard to make his recommendation and send the file to the DPP. Griffith’s lawyer Dexter Todd said he wants a thorough investigation to be conducted and the police to leave no stone unturned.
Felix feels that there was no reason in the first instance for the arrest of Griffith.
The former top cop pointed to a number of cases involving members of the Guyana Police Force that leaves much to be desired.
Felix said the APNU cannot malign the Guyana Police Force he made it clear that the country cannot do without the Guyana Police Force. He said what is important is training and the bad points be remedied.
