Two men arraigned in the murder of Patsan Salesman

Screen shot 2014-04-29 at 8.54.07 PMTwo men were this morning arraigned in the Georgetown Magistrate court charged with the murder of Patsan trading Salesman Bharrat Ramcharran.

Randolph Marques and Kevin France were not required to plea to the indictable charge which was read to them by chief magistrate Priya Beharry.

The police are reporting that on Thursday the suspect shot and kill Ramcharran who had just disembarked his vehicle in front of Patsan Trading at Sheriff and Johnsmith Street when gunmen held it up at gunpoint shot him in the abdomen and took away an undisclosed amount of cash.

Ramcharran was rushed to the Woodland hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The entire shooting was captured on surveillance video, which helped the police to crack the cash.

The two men were arrested last Friday at a city hotel a gun was also recovered. In the court today police prosecutor inspector Michael Grant told the court the police investigation was completed and the police would provide 18 witnesses when the trial gets on the way.  Grant requested of the court for three weeks for report on the matter, which was granted by the magistrate. The suspects were remanded to prison until May 19th.
