Taxi driver found dead
Family members say the young taxi driver Roopchand Darsan was always trying to make ends meet to care for his family. He operated from the Enmore junction as a taxi driver for the past five years. The young man was found with a gunshot wound to the head late Friday night at Strathspey Railway Embankment. At his home in Log Wood Enmore his parents told us that two men came to their home to break the disturbing news.
The police are working on a theory that the young man was shot while he was resisting efforts to hijack his Toyota Spacio vehicle. His mother told reporters that the young man recently purchased the vehicle. The woman said she last spoke to her son around 9:15 on Friday and asked when he will be coming home but he never return.
The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
