Family grieves for 14 year old killed in Parika
Relatives told members of the media that the boy and a group of friends left a family get together in a Tundra vehicle to go for a drive. He was in the tray of the vehicle when it slammed into a tree. Three other persons were also injured.
According to them the driver who happen to be their neighbour lost control of the vehicle at Ruden Rust, East Bank Essequibo. Persons in the area told this newscast that from all indications the driver was speeding.
The lad was badly injured and the best efforts of the Leonora Cottage Hospital could not save his life. The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
