Guyanese businessman responds to claim of fraud

sandAnother court battle is looming between the owners of the Guyana Sand Port and his former business partner who had a 50% share in the business.

The business was jointly owned by a Sri Lankan/ Canadian businessman Joseph Baskarran and a Brazilian businessman Radrigo De Paula. Now this latest fallout has to do with this internet video allegedly posted by De Paula.

Baskarran said the video is designed to manipulate and defame the characters of himself and his wife and destroy his businesses both locally and internationally.

The video also lashed out against the Guyana Police Force. Joseph Baskarran was so disturbed over the development that he called a press conference to give his side of the story. He showed the media documents that he owns the business.

This was after the two men parted ways some years ago.

Currently the business is thriving and the businessman feels that his former partner is trying to extort cash out of him.
