Gov.t expresses concerns about crime rate

rhoee on crime rateUnder fire by the opposition over his failure to properly manage the security sector Home Affairs minister Clement Rohee said his government is not comfortable with the current crime rate in Guyana.

Rohee told the police that his government has to get value for the large sums of taxpayer’s dollars they have invested over the years.

Rohee said there must be no comfort level and comfort zones having regard to the serious crimes that have been committed in Guyana.

The minister said the Force has the tools that can bring about good results.
