Passengers traveling to the interior express concerns
Some passengers who fly to the interior of Guyana, mostly to conduct business, say they are concerned about their safety given aircraft accidents. In recent times, an aircraft flipped over just after take-off at the Ogle Airport and on Saturday, an aircraft crashed into the jungle in Region seven, resulting in the death of the pilot and the cargo lander on board.
Despite these concerns, flying is the only option for many of those who do business in the interior, and they are counting on aircraft owners to get them to their destinations safetly.
The Minister of Transport Robesonn Benn has given this assurance to the travelling public regarding measures to ensure safety in local aircraft operations
The Ogle airport is the countries busiest, with scores of flights to and from interior locations.
