Flooding problems persist

school flooding 3rdWith sections of the city inundated during the heavy downpour this week, Deputy Mayor Patricia Chase -Green, pointed to several reasons for the slow drainage.

The deputy Mayor said the Council tried its utmost to drain the city of excess water, but there are factors it cannot control.

Dr. Roger Luncheon in his weekly press conference said that a holistic approach is needed to address the city’s flood woes.

For years city hall has been turning to central government to deal with flooding.
