Terry Holder Laid to rest
Terry Holder the Former Deputy General Manager of GT&T was this after laid to rest this afternoon after a service filled with tributes fro Family friends Former colleagues and persons from organizations he was involved in. His sons Kevin and Duane saw him as a father figure who was always a great motivator
Holder served GT&T for over 3 decades and Director of Customer Service Pamela Briggs said he was always a sober head and a mentor to many in the Company.
As PRO for the GCB for over 2 decades Holder left his mark on the cricketing fraternity and would be sorely missed for his sound advice acc to GCB President DruBahadur.
Terry Holder was also active as a Rotary Member and Former District Governor Ivor O brien said he was one of the finest Rotarians you would encounter.
Holder was a veteran Broadcaster having served in the Guyana Broadcasting Service and was a Director of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union. He led the negotiations which led to the first tv broadcast of cricket in the Caribbean in 1990. Holder straddled many sports as an Administrator , most notably cricket Table tennis and Football. He was 73 years old.
