APNU calls on Govt. to fix drainage systems around the counrty
The latest calls for government to fix the National drainage system has come from APNU at its lpress conference Friday morning. The partnership has called for a national flood plan to protect the nation from the ravages of repeated flooding. APNU leader David Granger believes the government has not been doing enough for citizens in this area.
The Partnership detailed flooding in each month for last year in several areas across Guyana in most of the regions . Granger said that despite the billions claimed to have been spent there is still flooding on a constant basis.
APNU says it is committed to working along with the Government to help ease the woes of flood weary citizens all over this country , but maintains that most of the major works like dredging has to be done by central Government and not the NDCs
