AFC hopes for parliamentary consensus in the New Year

parliament royo 31stLeader of the Alliance For Change is calling for compromise from all quarters especially from the government. He wants to see reconciliation in the New Year.

The government and the opposition continue to be at odds in the national assembly, but AFC leader Khemraj Ramjattan says his party will retreat on certain issues to make advances nationally.

Over the past year the opposition majority in the house attempted to have the government be more accountable for the use of the resources of the state.

But the government feels that the opposition is using its majority to stifle its plans and programs.
