The APNU throws its weight behind the public servants union in its demands for increased salaries

money lThe APNU is throwing its weight behind the public servants union in its demands for increased salaries and improved conditions for workers.

At the party’s weekly press briefing leader of the APNU David Granger called on the government to respect the collective bargaining process, by reviewing the conditions under which public servants work and by implementing a strategic plan to improve the public service.

The APNU wants the ruling party to re-engage the GPSU in order to arrive at a long-term solution to the current problems affecting public servants.

The government over the past decade has resorted to salary imposition rather than negotiating realistic wages for the workers according to the union.
