Fans attending the finals of the Georgetown leg of the Guinness in the streets football tournament could expect some intense action when Queen street Tiger Bay would match skills with Dark Horse Stevedore in the finals .Queen street Tiger Bay were the first Guinness in the streets champion, while Stevedore would be looking to capture the crown for the first time.

According to Petra tournament organizer Troy Mendonca all systems are in place for the finals, while security would be at its highest.

The finals would be played at the national park; third place would see Hope Street Tiger Bay and Albouystown

The winner of the tournament would walk away with five hundred thousand dollar first prize

Three time finalists in the Digicel schools football tournament Waramadong would be in action in their first game in the Kashif and Shanghi schools football tournament on Saturday against North Georgetown and according to the head coach the team is out to make a statement

The match would be played at the GFC ground. The first game would see Dolphin secondary and Charlestown matching skills.

Despite the weather the organizers say they are heartened by the level of competition. On Sunday the tournament would be graced with the present of Canadian International football  player turned scout  Dwayne  De Rosario  who would be looking  for young talent.

The organizers are hoping to form an elite football team to represent Guyana against some Caribbean teams sometime in April next.

And action in the GFA banks beers tournament continues   Saturday when Linden meets Georgetown. Mile rock of Linden takes on Western Tigers and  Net Rockers  challenge the running  GDF  .GAMES would be played at Tucville ground .

Then on Sunday  the action  would see Slingers  against Monedderlust,  while  in the feature game of  the night  city top team Alpha the Hammer United  would match skills against Pele . Games would be played at GFC ground.
