Crime Chief Seelall Persaud says police reforms in progress

reform 20thAs calls are being made for the reform of the Guyana Police Force Deputy Commissioner Seelall Persaud said that reform is taking place incrementally and the impact would not be seen immediately. 

Seelall then went on to point out progress so far including the establishment of an Integrated Crime Information System that links police stations on the coast, Region 10 and Bartica to monitor responses to crime.

The Guyana police force is reporting a 4% increase in serious crimes for this year compared to the corresponding period last year.
