Company spreads holiday cheers in Buxton

Buxton 19thWell Christmas is a time of giving and sharing and Overseas-based Buxtonian businessman Maurice Wilson is spreading some of that cheer to children of the community.

The kids were presented with toys and other goodies all in keeping with the spirit of Christmas. Wilson said the idea was the brainchild of his wife and they have been doing this for the past eight years.

He said he counts it as a blessing and was overjoyed to perform what he calls his civic duty.

Over 250 children from the community were presented with the toys at Wilson’s gas station in Buxton. And they were grateful for the gesture.

Opposition leader David Granger was on hand to distribute the toys and he expressed thanks on behalf of the community.

Wilson said his passion and desire is to mold and fashion the minds of the youth in a positive direction.
