Fly Jamaica adds direct Toronto to GEO destination
Fly Jamaica has launched its once weekly flight from Toronto, Canada . the service touched down at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport Wednesday morning. All flights from here to Toronto will be non-stop.
Passengers using the airline traveling to New York will have to transit in Kingston, Jamaica since Fly Jamaica’s application to operate non-stop flights to Guyana was denied twice by the US Transportation Department.
Bridging the tourism gap between Jamaica and Guyana is what Fly Jamaica is hoping to do in the meantime. According to an official the airline will not just sit and wait for passengers but plans to sell tourism as a way of getting persons to fly more to the various destinations.
The airline offers services to Jamaica, New York and Toronto along with Guyana and is co-owned by Guyanese pilot, Captain Ronald Reece.
