GWMO group rescues Indian national in strange trafficking in persons twist.

trafficking story 11thThe issue of trafficking in persons has highlighted the stories of females caught up in a web of despair and trickery but for president of the Guyana Women Miners Organisation Simona Broomes this case was different not only was it in the Capital but the victim who told them that he was being held against his will was male and is from India.

Brromes said her Organisation tackles all types of human trafficking whether male or female and the organization in fact has male associate members who assist them.

For this year several women have been rescued from various compromising situations thanks to the efforts of Broomes and her organization in collaboration with the Police and Ministry of Human Services.
