Guyana Goldfields looking to start Mining in 2014.

gold story 11thGuyana Goldfields Inc a Canadian based company,  is moving ahead with its Aurora mines project and its Directors have approved 228 million US dollars to move the project into its second phase which is the actual mining of precious metals. President and CEO of Guyana Goldfields inc Scott Caldwell is very optimistic.

Also endorsing the project was Canadian High commissioner Nicole Giles and she said the Government and other stakeholders here has supported the project which is expected to be the second largest behind the now closed OMAI operations.

Naatural Resources and Environment Minister Robert Persaud was also upbeat about the prospects and said that the protection of the Environment was always paramount in the development of this Project.

The Aurora project is expected to bring in some 140 thousand ounces of Gold Annually.
