Top CSEC high fliers in Guyana to receive Awards
16 of the Region’s top performers are meeting in Guyana for the CXC awards and this morning they made several visits to meet important persons in society. One of those stops was at the office of the President where they were able to interact with the president and ask him questions on topical issues.one student asked the president about balancing conservation and development.
The Registrar of CXC Dr Didacus Jules also asked President Ramotar to consider setting aside land in Guyana for scientific research and set up Guyana as a centre for scientific research for the region’s students.
This year Guyana’s students have copped the majority of the top awards in Science business and technical vocation Education. The students will be conferred with their awards tomorrow evening at the National cultural center.
