The party is refusing to accept the fact that fallout between the central government and the municipality is contributing to some of the problems.

Minister of local government Norman Whitaker who the mayor accused of side stepping the council and meeting with the town clerk and other personnel, was very critical of the council.

The council is saying that they need to broaden its revenue base in order to properly manage the city and those large piles of garbage.

Affected business owners and citizens told this newscast while their losses are in the thousands they have no one to offer them any compensation.
