Public servants protest outside OP
While public servants are protesting that imposed 5% salary increase the government is shifting the blame on the opposition for that position. But the union is saying that has been the position for over a decade before this new dispensation in parliament.
Today executive member of the APNU Joseph Harmon said the APNU is taking no blame for the salary imposition.
He said monies were voted for the increase in public servants salaries. Harmon said the government should go back to the bargaining table.
The PPP on Monday said that the budget cuts has affected the government’s ability to offer more. In fact Attorney General Anil Nandall said if the government could have offered a higher percentage it would have been the ideal position for any political party.
