IMG04372-20131105-1503Fire fighters were today back on the scene trying to ascertain the origin of a fire that left 8 people homeless.

It was late yesterday afternoon that the fire swept through the two storied five bedroom Crane west coast Demerara home leaving millions in losses.

The Davis’ and other relatives occupy the building. Orita Davis said she was in the kitchen when she heard a cracking sound coming from the front room of the building.

The woman said she was unable to save anything since safety was her first concern.

The Guyana fire service was quick to the scene and contained the blaze from spreading to any of the nearby buildings.
