Popularity of book on Guyana’s Heritage results in the second printing in order to meet demand.
At the launch of a book titled 12 views of the interior of Guyana’s recently at Cara Lodge, member of the Heritage Society of Guyana Ben Ter welle spoke of the many travels of the Schomburgh brothers around Guyana and some of the discoveries they made during the 1830s. This is all chronicled in the publication.
Ter Welle also spoke of a recent agreement signed that involved another of the Schomburgh brothers indirectly.
The Reprinting of the publication was hailed by CEO of GT&T Radha Krishna Sharma who said important pieces like those must find themselves into the national consciousness. He also pledged to continue supporting the arts and other aspects of work that projects Guyana’s rich heritage.
Representative of the Austrailian Company Troy Resources Ian Christie also told those gathered that after seeing the publication he could hardly have refused to purchase copies.
Copies were presented to President Donald Ramotar, The Director General of the Foreign Ministry whose support was acknowledged, GT&T, and The Fazaleas’ representative.
