APNU still concerned about Local Government bills.
APNU Executive Member, Basil Williams said the passage of the Bills was not a majority decision but rather a unanimous one to have the local Government Bills passed.
The delay in Local Government elections came under heavy criticism by the opposition party since the party does not see why the bills have not reached the desk of President Donald Ramotar.
APNU wants to see the Clerk of Parliament who has the duty to present the Bills to the President and not the Attorney General to do so in a timely manner.
The Party said the time for Local Government Elections is long overdue and they are hoping that the election can be held soon which could bring an end to some of the problems at the various councils.
