Urling urges compromise as the standoff between gov’t and opposition continues
President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce Clinton Urling believes that the biggest challenge facing this nation over the past year is the political impasse and the uncompromising stands and position by our politicians.
A worried Urling was speaking at the launching of the 2013/2014 business directory magazine.
He is urging politicians to explore ways in which they can arrive at consensus. He also called on President Donald Ramotar to move swiftly in assenting to the four local government bills that were passed in the national assembly close to two months ago.
The GGCI boss said the current climate is scaring away investors and affecting our national economy.
The cover of the 2013/2014 business was unveiled by Prime Minister Samuel Hinds last Friday.
