APNU Leader rejects Minister Rohee’s statements.
Opposition Leader David Granger said on Friday Morning that he is not waging psychological war on the Guyanese people rather he is waging war to ensure a safer Guyana for all including Women and Children . Granger gave that response to a letter sent to the media by home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee which accuses the APNU of waging psychological warfare on Guyanese people.
The letter to the media by Minister Rohee quoted Dr Henry Jeffery and the Stabroek Newspaper to make his point about the commitment of the PNC and by extension APNU to supporting the fight against crime. The AFC was also not spared the wrath of Rohee’s pen as he accused that party of losing credibility. Rohee said as far as security is concerned neither Granger nor his point on Security former Commissioner Winston Felix can offer any solution to the crime situation here. but Granger said that for years now he has been calling for more concrete actions aimed at stemming the wave of criminal activities here.
The letter by Minister Rohee come at a time when several murders have rocked the capitol city and have police investigators working overtime to rein in the situation. last week on a community outreach Police commissioner Leroy Brummel appealed to citizen to take the fight to criminals.
