Captain of the Demerara side in the Pepsi Senior limited overs Tournament Chris Barnwell says he is looking forward to leading the Demerara side against Essequibo on Saturday.
Barnwell said he is confident in the ability of the players on his squad .
The Former Guyana Captain said the squad has been working on some technical aspects of their game in order to be match ready come Saturday.
And preparations continue as Golfers prepare to tee it up at the Lusignan Golf club for the return of the Courts. Golf Tournament this Saturday. The defending Female Joanne Deo will be back to try and repeat as well as David Mohammed on the men’s side. While the Females only number 4 there is a much bigger and deeper field among the men. Cyclists will be busy this weekend as the Annual RRT Enterprise takes to the National Park on Saturday. 11 Races are set for the day with the feature being the 35 lap Schoolboys and Invitational race . then on Sunday its over to the West Demerara for the 3rd annual Banks Malts non-Alcoholic event over 50 miles. That starts at 8 in the morning outside the Wales Police station proceeds to bushy Park on the East bank Essequibo and then to the Demerara Harbour bridge for the finish.
