Georgetown Magistrates Court recently refurbished
A call has been made for the Judiciary to deliver justice in a way that will ensure that members of the public have faith in the system. This call was made by Junior Minister of Finance Bishop Juan Edghill who gave the media a tour of the refurbished Georgetown Magistrates Court recently.
Edghill said much more work than was anticipated was carried out to ensure that the facility is adequate for the purpose intended.
The Minister also gave an update on similar renovations taking place around the country.
The repairs began in 2011 under the Justice Sector Modernization Programme and was funded by the IDB. The additional funds are expected to come from the allocation in the budget for the judiciary.
