Young Londoner of Guyanese parentage looks to make it big in the music arena
Meet Jermain Jackman, who was born in London but his heart is here in Georgetown, Guyana, since his parents are Guyanese and it is where he calls home too.
This 18-year-old has already made a splash on the London scene, since he is a multi-award winning artiste. He is comfortable with Gospel and classical music, but can run the range if needs be.
He is also a youth ambassador for several organisations in London and can be considered a positive role model for the younger generation.
Jackman also won an international singing competition in July last year that landed him a performance at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, New York after winning the competition.
Speaking to Capitol News, Jackman expressed his gratitude for the input of his family, especially his parents, who are always supportive of his talent.
For Jackman, the road to success seems very bright and it’s a challenge he plans to take on and leave his mark in the music world like many other big stars before him have done.
