West Indies and Pakistan to face off in game 3 of the 5-match Series in St. Lucia

PAK-V-WI2Cricket: The West Indies face Pakistan in game 3 of the 5 match series at the Beausejour stadium in St. Lucia tomorrow Friday. The teams have split the 2 games played so far 1 a piece and each will be looking to get their noses in front. In game 2 played in Guyana on Tuesday the Windies held their nerve to defend their score of 232 which was made for the loss of 8 wickets.

Swimming: And the Guyana Amateur Swimming Association has shortlisted 17 swimmers who could make up the squad to participate in the Annual Goodwill swimming Championships due to be held in Barbados from August 16-18. The List was arrived at, following the latest meet held at the National Aquatic centre called the July Sprint Meet. Among the 17 are Guyana’s Olympian at the London Games Brittany Van Lange and Carifta Swimming finalist Onica George. The association will be holding one more meet in an effort to get as close to 40 swimmers as possible as required by each participating country. Those countries are Guyana, Barbados, Suriname, Trinidad and French Guyana. The last Goodwill championships were held in Guyana.
