West Indies Cricket board heartened by the return of Cricket to Guyana after nearly 2 years
The West Indies Cricket Board is heartened by the return of Cricket to Guyana after nearly 2 years due to the row between the Government and the Guyana Cricket Board. The local cricket board hosted the Pakistanis for 2 one-day matches at the Providence Stadium and a warm up match at Bourda. GCb Secretary and WICB Director Anand Sanasie said that he has every confidence that the cricket-starved Guyanese public will continue to have cricket in Guyana in the future.
Sanasie and WICB President Dave Cameron said that all the efforts they have been making have certainly paid off and they have lauded the efforts of the Guyana Government to ensure that international cricket is played here.
The West Indies and Pakistan after the 2 one day matches here head to St. Lucia with the 5-match series tied 1 all, after the West Indies pulled off an unlikely victory in the 2nd one day played yesterday.
